In the world of politics; irony is a dish best served cold. Upon making Red White And Crude I intended this site to be part social commentary and part political satire. My mission for this site was to offer a sarcastic/lighthearted view of the political spectrum; and while usually I am the one doing the mockery, occasionally there will be time when a story is so ludicrous on it’s own merits, that it basically makes fun of itself. Today is a day of mourning, and a time to hang our heads in respect of a movement that never was. Yesterday; in a court of law, the birther movement effectively came to an end when Federal Judge Clay Land declared a lawsuit by Army Capt. Connie Rhodes to be ‘frivilous’, threatening Orly Taitz with legal sanctions shall she continue her crusade against our current President. Stating that “Unlike in Alice in Wonderland, simply saying something is so does not make it so,”; Judge Land proceeded to blast miss Taitz for her mockery of the court, voicing his obvious displeasure in her antics that have become a headache for the federal court in the last few months….

With Obama’s approval ratings back on the rise; and the conservative tea-party movement losing steam, Republicans recentely resorted to holding a large rally at Washington D.C. in the hopes that Americans would decide Obama is unfit to be president. Knowing that the media gets a woodie for any demonstrations against our current President, the ‘teabaggers’ grabbed their misspelled/ignorant/occasionally racist protest signs and marched their way through the capitol.
