**GRAND RE-OPENING SPECIAL! TWO RANTS IN ONE WEEK!**

Unbelievable. If it wasn’t already clear enough to me (and many others) that Miley Cyrus is a bad role model for young girls, the above picture stands as clear evidence as to why record labels are disgusting, at times perverse, and basically exploiting the minds of today’s impressionable youth. Before most of these children are even learning about sex in school; they are subjected to inappropriate pictures of Miley Cyrus on the internet, truly questionable magazine covers (Vanity Fair) and even an underage Miley Cyrus pole dancing on The Teen Choice Awards. To this I have to offer a resounding WTF.

Regardless of how some may argue that her dancing that night was ‘watered down’ in comparison to acts like Britney Spears, the fact that her backup dancers were scantily clad themselves (and still under the age of 18 most likely) is objectification at its peak, and Viacom should be held accountable for it’s actions. There is no reason why we should be allowing 16 year olds to be presented on TV this way, and with the recent pedophile stalker scare that Miley has had to deal with, her label in general should be far more careful in how they present Miley Cyrus to the public. They could be putting her life in danger, and while I do not find her attractive, nor like her music (Sorry Miley, personal preference)…I completely protest the way she is marketed to the general public. The fact her father would even allow his daughter to be shown in this light makes me question his skills as a parent, and while I cannot make any accusations I’m starting to wonder when he will step in and say enough is enough.

But it’s not just Miley. Pop music has a whole is terrible, and devoid of any talent. In my (not so humble) opinion the world could do without the Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana, and about 95% of modern day Pop/Rap music and it would be just fine.

Like a good friend once said: “When Michael Jackson died, he brought the good days of pop music with him.” and to that friend? I couldn’t agree more.
